Giftwrapped is a service operated by FloMoney LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a United States limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Giftwrapped.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your first and last name, phone number, and birth month and day (no year is ever collected or stored). When you record a video through the service, we store that video on your behalf.
When you record a video without creating an account, we temporarily associate your video with your phone number for attribution purposes until you choose whether to join.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your phone number to verify your identity, send sign-in links, and — with your explicit consent — send birthday reminders and video delivery notifications. We use your name so the people you share with can identify you. We use your birthday to notify the specific people you have chosen to share it with when your birthday is approaching.
We do not use your information for advertising or marketing and we do not sell your data to third parties.
3. SMS Messaging & Consent
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services (for example, Twilio for SMS delivery) is permitted. All other categories of use exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Giftwrapped uses two types of SMS messages:
- One-time verification links — sent when you enter your phone number to verify your identity. These are transactional and require no additional opt-in beyond providing your number.
- Birthday notifications (recurring) — reminders to record for a friend's birthday and delivery of birthday videos. These are sent only after you provide explicit opt-in consent via a checkbox during account creation or joining.
Message frequency: approximately 1–4 messages per month for recurring users, depending on how many birthdays you are subscribed to. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message — you will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for support or email us at support@birthdayfor.com. We use Twilio to deliver messages; your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for SMS delivery and is not used for any marketing purpose.
4. Birthday Sharing
Your birthday is never shared automatically. It is shared only when you explicitly consent at the time of sharing, and only with the specific named individual you choose. You will always be told exactly who your birthday will be shared with before you confirm. We do not share your birthday with any other users, third parties, or within the app without your explicit permission for each share.
5. Video Content
Videos you record are stored securely and delivered only to the person the birthday link was created for. Videos are accessible via a private link that requires phone verification to view.
6. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We share your information with third parties only as necessary to operate the service:
- Twilio — for SMS delivery (phone number shared solely for delivery)
- Supabase — for secure data storage and video hosting
- Vercel — for application hosting
We do not sell your data. We do not share your phone number, mobile opt-in data, or consent information with third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, or lead- generation purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@birthdayfor.com.
